The latest iteration of the EU Green Deal must do more to recognise the critical role of long-duration energy storage in the renewable transition.
The Long-Duration Energy Storage (LDES) Council - of which Azelio is a founder technology member - today released a strong statement making clear that the most recent version of the European Commission Green Deal Industrial Plan does not sufficiently highlight the role of LDES technologies as Europe strives to achieve it's net-zero goals.
In order to introduce more renewables into our energy mix, balance our systems, and decarbonise our economies at the lowest cost to society, LDES is a vital piece of the puzzle.
