Aston Martin agrees deal to make electric vehicles with US firm Lucid

Aston Martin has entered into a deal with US firm Lucid to produce ultra-luxury high-performance electric vehicles starting from 2025. As part of the agreement, Lucid will acquire a 3.7% stake in Aston Martin through a cash and shares deal valued at £182 million. The partnership will involve using powertrain components from Lucid for Aston Martin's initial and future battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, contributing to the company's plan to launch its first BEV in 2025. The agreement is seen as a significant step in Aston Martin's electrification strategy and has positively impacted the company's market value.
