Ingmar Rentzhog's post

I will be speaking at Nature in the Race to Zero on Earth Day, April 2022. Like all other speakers at the event, I have been asked to formulate a reply to the following question: “Decarbonizing our economies is a huge - and hugely important - challenge, deeply affecting all parts of our societies. What is the significance of mankind’s relationship with nature and the role of nature-based solutions in this transformation?” Here is my reply: Nature-based solutions are probably the most underrated climate solutions we have at hand, in terms of importance. Tech, financing, and policy will only get us so far. Nature-based solutions make up 1/3 of the climate solutions we will need to keep the planet from overheating. We need to see this and start working with nature, instead of against it. And there is no downside to it. On the contrary, restoring degraded landscapes is a super win-win. Good for our economy, good for our health, good for our future. But we don’t have time to wait. Join me on April 22, register for the event: https://www.wedonthavetime.org/events/nature
