Tanzania’s smoke-spewing three-wheelers face new electric competition
Tanzania boasts the highest number of electric vehicles (EVs) in East Africa, totalling around 5,000 vehicles cruising its streets. With the support of the UNEP-led Global Electric Mobility Program, the fleet of electric two- and three-wheelers tends to increase rapidly.
