StoreDot and Flex-N-Gate team up for mass-producing fast-charging EV batteries.

StoreDot, the Israeli battery developer, has entered into a partnership with Flex-N-Gate, a prominent US car component manufacturer. Under this agreement, Flex-N-Gate will begin producing prototype samples of StoreDot's battery cells for automakers at its pilot battery factory in Windsor, Canada, starting next year. Both companies will collaborate on sampling and scaling up the commercialization of StoreDot's rapid-charging battery cells for electric vehicles.
The first prototypes of StoreDot's 100in5 battery cells will be manufactured next year at Flex-N-Gate Group's 'Flex-lon' lithium-ion cell pilot factory in Windsor, Ontario. This collaboration will involve working closely with local automotive OEMs to create cells that meet specific performance and format requirements.
Amir Tirosh, COO of StoreDot, expressed enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, "This is an exciting and significant agreement that further supports our path to OEM commercialization. Partnering with Flex-N-Gate, a tier-one manufacturer and global leader in mass-scale automotive component production, opens up vast new opportunities for StoreDot in the North American market. It also allows us to localize cell production. Our 100in5 battery cells are already undergoing testing by electric vehicle manufacturers. This strategic agreement empowers us to quickly scale up production and adapt to the scale and form factors demanded by this growing industry.
