Hundreds of dead crayfish found in Blue Mountains creek

About thousand dead and dying giants spiny crayfish were found in a tributary of Hazelbrook creek near Horseshop falls by a tour guide. According to report by EPA they died because of insecticide Bifenthrin which was found in water , sediments and crayfish samples collected from the impacted creek. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2023/sep/22/crayfish-deaths-blue-mountains-epa
