In May, Söderberg & Partners held an international sustainability month to educate and encourage employees to make more sustainable decisions in their daily lives. Employees earned points by completing sustainability challenges, which were then converted into a donation to Save the Children’s educational projects in Ukraine.

A Month Focused on Sustainability
May became an international sustainability month for Söderberg & Partners employees in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands. The aim was to inspire and educate employees on economic, social, and ecological sustainability, helping them understand the breadth of sustainability and how small changes in daily behavior can make a difference.
The month included inspirational lectures and workshops, and employees competed in teams in the sustainability action app Deedster, learning more about sustainability and adopting more sustainable habits through various challenges. "Our journey towards greater sustainability is not a sprint but a marathon. With each step, we get closer to our goal. The sustainability month is a great way to engage our employees and have them participate in our sustainability marathon so that we can go further together," says Lingyi Lu, Head of Sustainability at Söderberg & Partners.
Support for Save the Children’s Educational Projects in Ukraine
The goal of the sustainability challenges in Deedster was to reduce our employees' climate footprint. Each challenge also earned points, allowing co-workers to compete against each other in climate action. At the end of the month, all points earned were converted into a donation to Save the Children.
This year, employees managed to collect SEK 1,196,785 together. The funds will support Save the Children’s vital educational projects in Ukraine. The donation aims to:
- Provide psychosocial support to students, teachers, and other educational staff.
- Refurbish shelters in schools, enabling more schools to remain open.
- Support children who have fallen behind in their education during the war through "catch-up classes."
"Thank you to Söderberg & Partners for contributing to the future of children in Ukraine. Investing in education during emergencies is not just about immediate aid. It is an investment in the resilience and well-being of the affected children and communities, now and in the future," says Denis Puzhalin, Deputy Director for Programme Development and Quality, Save the Children in Ukraine.
We are very proud of the employees who participated during the sustainability month, inspired others, and challenged themselves to create new sustainable habits. By engaging our co-workers to take action for the climate, we can create ripples that affect our corporate footprint as well as the lifestyle emissions of our entire workforce. What can you do at your workplace to reduce your emissions?
