GAIL launches a 10 MW Green Hydrogen Facility in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.

The state-owned GAIL (India) Limited has established its first green hydrogen production plant, located in Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh. We appreciate the company's efforts, as the inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri Pankaj Jain, along with GAIL's top management.
The new facility boasts a remarkable capacity to generate 4.3 tons of hydrogen per day, with an exceptional purity level of 99.999%. Initially, the produced hydrogen will be blended into GAIL's natural gas network to meet internal requirements. However, the company plans to explore broader applications, including selling high-pressure hydrogen to nearby consumers. This initiative aligns with GAIL's strategic focus on renewable energy solutions and India's National Green Hydrogen Mission, as the country transitions towards a more sustainable energy future.
We commend GAIL's foray into green hydrogen production, as it signifies a significant step towards diversifying its energy portfolio and embracing clean technologies. The successful commissioning of this plant positions GAIL as a key player in India's emerging green hydrogen landscape, contributing to the nation's efforts to decarbonize its energy sector. We appreciate GAIL's commitment to environmental sustainability and look forward to seeing the positive impact of this project.

By blending the hydrogen with their natural gas network, they're making sure their investment pays off and fits seamlessly into what's already there. Smart move.
