trillion yearly. That is more than double the $1 trillion required for adequate climate finance. There is enough money in the world to transition away from fossil fuels. It's about allocation. It’s about political will!
Rich countries must stop making excuses about the lack of finance and focus on delivery that meets the needs of poorer nations. Research shows that if we invest 1% of global GDP annually over the next five years, we can help poorer countries to meet their energy transition needs.
