The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) is a non-governmental organization formed by experts to advise the government on the climate problem. The government isn't treating adaptation seriously enough, according to Baroness Brown, chairwoman of the CCC's adaptation sub-committee. This country's recent experience "stands in stark contrast to the government's lack of urgency on climate resilience," she said.
