130 countries wanted to phase out fossil fuels at #COP28. Now, at #COP29, a few oil production countries—led by Saudi Arabia—are blocking progress. But here’s the real question: Why aren’t those 130 countries taking matters in to their own hands?
If these nations stopped buying, using, and subsidizing fossil fuels, the industry would collapse under its own weight. A coalition of 130 countries phasing out fossil fuels and accelerating decarbonization is enough to change the world.
Why wait for the rest to catch up?
As we follow the final negotiations at #COP29, the atmosphere is tense—and yes, it’s downright depressing. There’s a real risk of total failure. But maybe, just maybe, that’s what the world needs to wake up.
200 countries agreeing on a fast fossil fuel phase-out might be mission impossible. But regional alliances of the willing? That’s a mission within reach.
I still believe in humanity’s capacity to act—even if it takes hitting rock bottom first. What do you think? Is failure the wake-up call we need?

Let’s not just wait and see—let’s act.

Consumers can take this matter on their hands to support the 130 countries

It's 130 against one or maybe a few.The million dollar question is if the 130 countries are genuine in their quest. If so, why not take matters in to their own hands

If a product lacks customers, then the producer will definitely cease to be in business.
