Paris is building kilometers of new cycle paths just in time for the Olympics
Paris is investing heavily in cycling ahead of the Olympic Games to be held in the French capital next year. A whole 55 kilometers of new cycle path - so-called Olympilanes - will be built and connect the center with the Olympic arenas.
In addition, 25 kilometers of cycle paths will be built in Seine-Saint-Denis, which belongs to the ÃŽle-de-France region, which is part of Greater Paris.
Next to the various arenas, such as Roland Garros and Chams de Mars, parking spaces for 10,000 bicycles will be exhibited. A further 3,000 bicycle spaces will be permanently exhibited at the Stade de France.
