Former rubbish dump I Essex becomes UK’s largest solar farm
The former rubbish dump in Essex has become the largest solar farm built on a landfill site to generate electricity. Ockendon solar farm is the third largest in UK and has more than 100000 solar modules occupying 70 hectares of land.
