ÖrebroBostäder and OpenArt: A Collaboration for Social Sustainability

OPENART highlights ÖrebroBostäder, one of our partners during 2024-2025 ÖrebroBostäder AB (ÖBO) is proud to be a partner of OPENART. These projects are a part of ÖBO's work on social sustainability, aiming to create lively, engaging spaces for the city's residents. This fits in with ÖBO's guidelines for green areas. We see our living spaces as a whole, where architecture, design, art and cultural heritage work together. By involving artists early in projects, ÖBO makes sure art is a key part of developing and managing residential areas.

Learn more about ÖBO's sustainability work:

Play Areas for Children An important part of ÖBO's social sustainability work is creating areas that bring joy and creativity to children and youth. Natural elements like logs, stones, and plants are used instead of traditional playground equipment, encouraging creative play and interaction with nature.

Using natural stuff like logs and stones instead of regular playground gear is such a smart move. Kids get to play creatively and connect with nature at the same time.

Using art to bring youth into the design process is really clever, that is something we could learn when making climate decisions that will affect generations to come!
