Exciting #SET100 News: 2022 SETAward winners, Green Li-ion raises a total of 20.5 million USD for its game-changing lithium-ion battery recycling tech 🔋
The pre-series B funding round was led by Singapore-based VC, Trirec while Thai smart energy provider Banpu Next and the VC arm of Norwegian energy company Equinor Ventures also participated. 💸 CEO and Co-founder Leon Farrant, whom we had the pleasure of meeting at the #SETTF22, has said that this new funding will help Green Li-ion to scale manufacturing and deliver 50 modular recycling units per year.

The start-up is in the business of revolutionising #energystorage by rejuvenating lithium-ion batteries - 95% of which currently ends up in landfills, as recycling them has traditionally been a difficult and expensive process. Green Li-ion’s multi-cathode modular units make this process commercially viable and circular.
