Rising sea levels alter coastal habitats: bird species face challenges and opportunities As sea level rise accelerates, there are concerns that by the end of this century, much of the world’s salt marshes could be submerged, leaving birds without habitat 09/25/2024 – Sea level rise, intensified by climate change, is accelerating every year and radically transforming coastal ecosystems. This phenomenon not only threatens the existence of several coastal bird species, but also creates challenges for biodiversity conservation. See:
