Swedish electric boat maker Candela is exporting its emission-free ferries to Saudi Arabia. Candela is selling eight of its flying ferries, the P-12, to the futuristic city Neom, and the deal is expected to be the first of several for the Swedish boatmaker.
"We aim to become the world's largest provider of passenger ferries." This is what Candela's CEO, Gustav Hasselskog, told DI Digital, coinciding with the news that the Swedish electric boat challenger has struck a major deal with Saudi Arabia's futuristic city, Neom.
Neom is currently under construction by the Red Sea and is being called the world's largest real estate project.
