This French festival will be 100% vegetarian for its 2023 edition

The We Love Green music festival, which has been leading the way in eco-friendly festivals will make its 2023 edition entirely vegetarian. The event will take place from June 2 to 4, 2023 at the Bois de Vincennes in Paris, with a vegetarian food court to encourage participants to adopt a more sustainable and environmentally friendly diet.
This decision is part of a desire to promote food that respects the environment and to make festival-goers aware of the importance of organic farming and agroecology. The choice to offer only vegetarian dishes reduces the environmental impact of the festival and encourages festival-goers to adopt a more sustainable diet.
“This is a subject that has been on the table regularly for a few years, both from people at We Love Green, but also from outside. This is a small criticism that the public could sometimes make to us: how could a festival like ours continue to offer meat on the festival?" explained Thomas Grunberg, founder of Gaudina in charge of the development of the food zone of the festival, to Konbini.
“If we can pave the way, inspire other festivals, if people can learn from our mistakes and be inspired by what we have achieved, then that is superb”, adds Thomas Grunberg.

Offering vegetarian cuisine is also a way to support small local producers. By choosing organic and local ingredients, the festival aims to reduce the carbon footprint of food production and support organic farming.

It's an important and powerful step to reduce the environmental impact of the event, and it's also a great way to raise awareness about the importance of organic farming and agroecology. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of delicious and sustainable vegetarian dishes they come up with!
