Scientist have warned that UK is ill-prepared for the disaster future storms could cause, after storm Ciaran swept the country. The experts believe a warning atmosphere caused by the emissions from burning fossil fuel will make storm more frequent and severe in the UK and they fear that UK government is not putting enough efforts into flood resilience which could cost people their homes, livelihood and even their lives. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/nov/07/uk-ill-prepared-for-havoc-future-storms-could-wreak-scientists-warn

The warning from scientists about the UK's readiness for future storms is concerning. Climate change is making storms more frequent and severe, and it's crucial that the government puts greater efforts into flood resilience. People's homes, livelihoods, and lives are at stake. We need proactive measures to address the climate crisis. #ClimateChange #StormPreparedness

UK government must be alive to the fact that floods are destroying life and property in other parts of the world, and must learn from this and be steadfast in fighting climate change effects.
