Hundreds of climate protesters blocked private jets from leaving Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport on Saturday in a demonstration on the eve of the COP27 UN climate meeting in Egypt. Greenpeace and Extinction Rebellion protesters sat around private jets to prevent them leaving, while others rode bicycles around the planes. Dewi Zloch of Greenpeace Netherlands said the activists want "fewer flights, more trains and a ban on unnecessary short-haul flights and private jets." https://www.google.com/amp/s/uk.news.yahoo.com/amphtml/greenpeace-extinction-rebellion-protesters-stop-161116376.html

But it is sad that even after this protest ,no action was taken from the respective individuals!! It is worrying that Despite Schiphol Airport being the largest source of carbon dioxide emissions in Netherlands, the involved parties have shown no interest to take any action!
