The concept of promoting gender equality in India is igniting a transformative journey towards empowering women and creating a society that thrives on inclusivity. Over the years, there has been significant progress made in the country towards achieving gender parity. There are a lot of organisations, such as Bal Raksha Bharat which have been working towards promoting girls’ education and achieving gender equality in India.
One of the most notable changes that have taken place is the significant increase in literacy for women in India. According to a World Bank Report, the female literacy rate increased from 9% to 77% since Independence. Although there is still progress to be made, the upward trend demonstrates an unyielding commitment towards achieving gender equality in India.
