GECCI Carries Out Clean Up Exercise In Otu Oyo State Nigeria It was a privilege for the people of Otu town in Itesiwaju LGA of Oyo State as they witnessed a one day clean up exercise, organized and carried out by the Global Environmental and Climate Conservation Initiative, in partnership with the National Association Of Oke Ogun Students, supported by Kruse Research USA. The programme started with a roundtable discussion at the Onirin Palace, in Otu, where the stakeholders involved brainstormed on the dangers of improper refuse disposal and how to tackle them before the proper clean up at the town hall. The objective of the exercise is to sensitize the people of Otu Town to the dangers of improper refuse disposal and flooding as they relate to climate change.
