Jaber is undoubtedly unfit to be the steward of Cop28. I little digging into his resume I learn that in the mid 2000s he successfully headed Masdar which a company with huge interest in renewable energy but was later on appointed as the CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. The shift from a solution providing company to one which exacerbates the climate crisis is alarming and raises more questions than answers on his credibility to run such a highly regarded post at this time and era when all is needed is loyalty in climate action.

@lizz_gathigia Or should we shift the blame entirely to the organizers of COP who might have had a big say on whether or not he'd ascend to this position and not Jaber himself?It's very confounding.
