Not a good sign to see that Russian oligarchs and oil billionaires are undermining the effectiveness of COP27 with their covert lobbying despite already being under western sanctions as a result of the war in Ukraine. It's disheartening to see that despite the actionable potential of the COP, there are still so many counterproductive and climate unfriendly players making their presence known at an event dedicated to preserving and saving the planet.
