BlackRock Scales Back Role in UN Climate Action 100

BlackRock significantly reduces its participation in Climate Action 100+, a key UN alliance aimed at fighting global warming through corporate sustainability. This move hardly surprises anyone. BlackRock is a major investor in the fossil fuel industry, with significant stakes in oil, coal, and gas, and even includes Saudi Aramco CEO on its own board of directors! The path forward is clear: it’s time to #MoveTheMoney to where it’s truly needed. If BlackRock won’t realign their investments, it’s up to the investors to take a stand and shift their funds elsewhere! What is their explanation this time? I had high hopes for Black rock, but they follow the money no matter the cost for the rest of us, no, all of us on this planet.

They're a big player in the fossil fuel industry, so it's no surprise they're not fully committed to fighting climate change. This is just another example of putting profits over the planet's health.

Backstroke is a good example of climate denials in the fight against climate change. Such are the companies that influence decisions to favor multi-billion dollar fossil fuel empires.
