Katie Switzer was an ordinary college girl who loved to run. One day, Katie decided to run the Boston Marathon. Nothing special, now thousands of women run it every year, without any problems with registration and participation. But not in 1967...

How furious was Jock Semple, a representative of the organizers, who saw this fury, going to run in a MEN'S marathon and thus insult the entire male sex. He tried to tear off her registration number by force, demanded that she "give it back and get the hell out of his marathon."

But the brave girl did not give in and ran the marathon to the end. Women had to prove their right to participate in the marathon for another 5 years, and only in 1972 they officially received permission to freely participate along with men.

The moral of this story is this: what we have now, we admit, maybe not in the most ideal version, but still, as a self-evident fact: democratic freedoms, equal rights for men and women, and so on, we have it thanks to those first and brave people who took the first step.

We also live in times of change. But we should not wait for everyone to run. Now is the time for the brave, those who are ready to challenge the "silence and servility" that manifests itself in the phrases: "we can do nothing", "nothing depends on me", "people are not capable of this".

Today we are faced with a huge problem. Our planet may perish without going through a 12,000-year cycle of climate change.

In order to prevent this, we need to unite the efforts of all people and create a public demand for a solution to the problem of how we can all survive.

And we need brave people who can independently study this issue and explain it to others. After all, the system will stop us: through its pawn journalists, through commissioned materials, and through the crowd, stupefied by their manipulations.

For the brave and self-confident, there is always a path to breakthrough, and it depends on you: you will be the one who wins, or the one who drowns in the swamp of doubts. Study, choose and take a bold step.
