ASML is going circular

ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. They provide chipmakers with everything they need – hardware, software and services – to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography.
The energy grid at the Veldhoven campus uses a ring-pipe system and water to move heat between buildings. Once fully realized, it will help us use up to 60% less gas per year - that's like taking 1,550 cars off the road! 🚗

Water warmed using heat from our production facilities moves through the pipes to office buildings where it helps regulate temperatures. Once the heat has been used, the cool water moves back to the factories. It's all part of their sustainability roadmap.

This update celebrates ASML's commitment to circular practices, particularly in energy efficiency at their Veldhoven campus. The implementation of a ring-pipe system using water to transfer heat between buildings showcases innovation in sustainable infrastructure. The anticipated reduction of up to 60% in gas usage aligns with their sustainability roadmap, illustrating a significant step towards environmental responsibility. The comparison to taking 1,550 cars off the road emphasizes the positive impact of such initiatives in the ongoing fight against climate change.
