The Sustainable Hospitality Alliance has launched the Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality for the Planet. The vision of the Pathway is that every hotel around the world can, and must, aim for net positive environmental impacts, whatever their starting point.
Hotels have a crucial role in the climate transition, not only in terms of their own carbon footprint but also the footprint of their customers, who often travel far and lead unsustainable lifestyles while living at the hotel. Setting high goals and acting on them can have a big impact on the customers that visit the hotel, leading to climate action that extends far beyond the hotels' own borders.
The Pathway provides a practical, four-stage guidance framework as a free resource that supports all parts of the hospitality value chain to progress in a cohesive, strategic manner. It includes detailed action guidance for hotel operators, brands and asset owners, applicable to both single or multi-unit organisations - an approach that has been proven to be very important, as most small business owners lack the required tools to take action and be more climate friendly.
I am very happy to see the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance take this step, and would be delighted to hear more about the initiatives and tools involved in this pathway here on our platform. Give them climate love if you agree!

Sure. Bring it on. Net-positive hotels. 100%, All-Electric homes and businesses. Educating the general public on how to reduce carbon accumulation and their carbon footprint. Paying way more positive attention to the Amazon rain forest. Helping it avoid a very crucial tipping point and enabling it to recover from recent man-made devastation. Never stop positive climate action where you live, in your community, city region, state, country and globally!
