Did you know that Brussels is absolutely full of fossil fuel lobbyists? They’re all working overtime to make sure our elected European politicians don’t ditch climate-wrecking coal and gas in favour of renewable energy.
The good news is that we know that with enough public pressure, lobbying access can be revoked, because that’s exactly what happened to Russian lobbyists last year, after the country’s brutal invasion of Ukraine [1].
Now let’s make sure the same thing happens to the fossil fuel lobbyists, who are causing irreparable damage to our planet.

We have no time to lose. Fossil fuel lobbyists want to shut down plans that would help ordinary people survive this winter, like capping energy bills or putting a higher tax on excess profits. [2]
Over the decades, fossil fuel giants have spent millions upon millions to keep Europe hooked on oil and gas. The fossil fuel industry is using the same tactics as Big Tobacco: sponsoring greenwashing events for politicians and coming up with dubious research downplaying the dangers of climate change. [3]
Now they’re fighting to keep gas prices high - and it’s the rest of us who end up paying the price.
Sign the petition to demand that our politicians kick the fossil fuel industry out of politics, starting with the immediate removal of their lobbying badges!

Fossil fuel lobbyists are the barrier to a successful call off of the fossil fuel dirty business and should be capped at whatever cost. I sign in without hesitation but with a lot optimism that they'll be won over.
