2023 climate report telling it as it is - as well as giving good guidance
Yesterday, the Swedish Climate Policy Council, Klimatpolitiska rådet, issued its yearly report evaluating the Swedish government’s climate action in regards to goals and guidelines set by the parliament. In 2045, Sweden has the goal to be carbon neutral, and a number of short term goals for 2030 will take us there. However, the right wing government that took office during fall 2022 has enforced politics that will increase GHG emissions, and will not reach the set targets for 2030. I hope that the Swedish Climate Policy Council's report will serve as a wake-up call for the government and encourage them to take more ambitious action to address climate change.

It is my hope that the Swedish government will recognize the urgency of the situation and take bold action to address the climate crisis, not just for the sake of its citizens, but for the health of the planet as a whole.
