Europe Says Goodbye to Natural gas for good: the superturbine that will use a new energy.

Europe is shifting away from natural gas toward hydrogen as a cleaner energy alternative. The FLEX4H2 initiative, funded by the European Union and Switzerland, has developed the GT36 turbine capable of running on 100% hydrogen. This turbine, designed by Italian company Ansaldo Energia, can supply power to half a million homes. The key to its viability lies in its revolutionary fuel chamber design, enabling high operating temperatures while maintaining low emissions. Previously, turbines ran on a maximum of 40% hydrogen mixed with natural gas, but the GT36 operates solely on hydrogen. The FLEX4H2 initiative aims to develop safe and efficient combustion systems capable of running on any hydrogen concentration up to 100%, meeting emission targets without diluents. This advancement marks a significant step towards Europe's goal of decarbonization and reducing dependence on fossil fuels, potentially revolutionizing the energy landscape.
