Focusrite (and other companies) won't update the firmware of it's devices, older than 10 years, which in practice makes these unusable, unless you keep a computer with an older operative system. This is difficult or impossible in the long run. Focusrite manufactures digital audio interfaces for music producers etc. A well functioning hardware device should not be abandoned by it's maker by not updating the firmware, and thus forcing the customer to buy a new one. One suggestion would be to have a fee for the upgrade instead.
