Petrobras could venture in other avenues that are climate friendly and still make their profit margins

This development could have significant implications for the exploration and production of oil and gas in the Equatorial Margin region, potentially impacting the local environment and contributing to climate change.

@walter_lungayi always sad when authorities focus on profits and forget the importance of guarding the environment and the future.

Oil and gas exploration and extraction are associated with carbon emissions and environmental degradation, contributing to the overall challenge of transitioning to cleaner energy sources. The resumption of drilling in the Equatorial Margin may conflict with the broader international push to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and accelerate the adoption of renewable energy alternatives.

@rukia_ahmed_abdi I agree ,the Brazil authorities must stop this drilling for the sake of a sustainable future. Fossil fuels reliance must end now.

This is so disappointing, Brazil should consider recaling this decision that is meant to harm the environment. Drilling oil is a practice that must be stopped around the globe.
