After managing to condemn the French state to repair the consequences of its climate inaction, L’Affaire du Siècle strikes again. Next month, France will choose its new President and Parliament. But to date, one fundamental question remains totally absent from the media debate: how do the candidates intend to get France out of climate illegality? At a time when the IPCC report shows that We Don’t Have Time and we need to act now, at a time when 94% of French people believe that climate change is a major problem, climate and environmental issues only represent 2.7% of the campaign's debate. In response to this, l’Affaire du Siècle organizes on Sunday, 14th at 4:00 CET the Débat du Siècle (debate of the century) on Twitch. The presidential candidates will be invited to answer questions to explain how they intend to respect the court decision pronounced in the framework of the Affaire de siècle, namely: to correct the surplus of 15 megatons of greenhouse gas emissions emitted by France between 2015 and 2018 before 31 December 2022.
