What the global vehicle industry should be doing asap to survive?
1) Learn & adopt to rapid change from #web3 capital markets and global #climateactionnow #Bioverse #Akiimo
2) Note the #prosumer mind shift towards cleaner and greener planet for all #Earthlings:
"Offer smaller #electric vehicles as a service, not as a product to buy"
Your new prosumers are not #tedlasso they are digitally connected to likeminded and skeptical about everything!
3) Remember, if it doesn't have utility for ecommerce or delivery industry, its gonna be a show piece in a digital museum - some will buy that as a #NFT jpeg just for fun!
4) Use renewables and keep your eyes / ears open for new digital tech (again #web3) instead of fax machines ;-)
Use biodegradable material (real #biodegradable not #greenwashed)
5) Don't push too many SUVs or rely on your political propaganda of 2050 (!!) cuts in emissions, those are done by "old guards" (or the huge things that are washing away in #floods due to #climatecrisis induced weather). Delay that and get wiped out instantly by the new wealthy #prosumers

I just had my car "fixed". The strip of non-working LEDs under the headlight had caused it to fail its roadworthiness test in the UK. The LEDs cannot be replaced on their own. The headlight unit cannot be repaired, so the WHOLE unit must be replaced - all the lights, the motors, the housing, the whole lot. The senseless waste blows my mind - the LEDs are probably a few pence of parts, the complete light unit is hundreds of pounds. Its made in the "East" and shipped half way round the world. Who designs a light in which you can't change "the bulb"?
Answer... The car is a Kia

Thank you for sharing that. Cars, Electronic Devices, Farm Equipment, Household appliances - have same stories. Big brands like Hyundai (Kia owner), Apple, Microsoft, etc etc do it for a reason - spare parts & upgrades is a big recurring revenue.
ICE vehicle industry is worst, a facelift is called innovation and its sold as a prestigious possession whereas its the worst depreciating asset in terms of finance.
Fortunately the EV industry is building on very less parts (which is why most old guards don't like it), more sharing service model than outright buying.
There is a big support and consumer community groups fight for "Right to Repair".
And together we've planted over 150,000 trees. One tree is planted for every climate review written to an organization that is Open for Climate Dialogue™.
How does this work?
