This is a good partnership between two businesses, showing the world how to do good through business activities. Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has announced it will take things even further by aiming to be ‘climate positive’ by the end of the decade. Boston Consulting Group has agreed a partnership with Climeworks to become a net-zero business by 2030. According to the deal, the BCG will help Climeworks develop its business, which focuses on capturing carbon dioxide from the Earth’s atmosphere. The strategy consultancy will provide advisory services focused on helping Climeworks to scale up its activities and reach more customers. Thanks Muhammad for sharing this partnership between BCG and Climeworks. We believe that as well as taking a science-based approach to reducing emissions, the permanent removal of CO2 from the atmosphere at scale is vital to meeting net zero emissions globally. Direct Air Capture (DAC) is a technology with huge potential and with this agreement, and others in this space still to come, our goal is to help unlock a meaningful DAC capacity by establishing long-term partnerships with DAC pioneers to help scale this much needed technology.

Thank you for your response, Boston Consulting Group (BCG). I, too, believe in taking a science-based approach to reducing emissions. Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology should be scaled up and utilised at significant levels for the permanent removal of CO2 from our atmosphere. I appreciate that BCG is working on this scaling up, and I am waiting to hear more good news from BCG. What I appreciate more in your partnership with Climeworks is the enabling role BCG will be playing by extending good climate actions beyond its own business to many other organisations. I see it having a positive, multidimensional impact on our environment, atmosphere, and biodiversity. The impact could be very well translated as a good contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Good luck and keep up the good work!
