🚨 On the evening of September 11, 2024, Hurricane Francine made landfall on the coast of Louisiana, with winds reaching a maximum of 100 mph (155 km/h). The hurricane caused extensive damage, resulting in more than 340,000 homes and businesses losing power by the following Thursday. Efforts are underway to restore infrastructure, but the continued presence of strong winds and heavy rainfall is presenting challenges in the area.
