Microplastics in human testes and semen raise fertility concerns
Studies in several countries point to potential risk to reproductive health due to plastic pollution
14/11/2024 – Microplastic pollution, already recognized as a global environmental problem, is now raising deeper concerns about its impacts on human health, especially with regard to male fertility. Three studies conducted in China, the United States and Italy detected the presence of microplastics in human testes and semen, suggesting that these particles may be interfering with the reproductive process.
