They knew about the risks associated with forever chemicals... and chose to continue to poison us

In the first episode of its investigation on the French chemical company Arkema, France 3 Auvergne Rhône-Alpes revealed that Arkema had been aware of the risks associated with the use and manufacture of "forever chemicals" (PFAS) for decades (since the 1990s)... and chose to keep it a secret and continue to poison the local environment and its inhabitants!
Residents and associations have launched legal action against Arkema, to get an immediate limitation of toxic discharges. So let's see what happens with it... but I really hope the French court will hold them accountable (and won't send the activists who denounced the scandal to prison).

A little bit of background information:
In May 2022, the French investigation broadcast "Envoyé Spécial" on France 2 revealed this scandal concerning Arkema. They detected high levels of forever chemicals in the air, soil, and breast milk around Arkema, which had been discharging large quantities of PFAS (ultra-toxic and persistent perfluorinated compounds), into the Rhône for decades.

This is a criminal offense that can be equated to attempted murder. The intentional poisoning of people is an evil act that should be condemned by all means. The perpetrators of this crime should face the full wrath of the law.

With all that is happening to our planet at the moment..we ought to come up with measures to protect the environment and not destroy it.
