🟣 China. #rains #landslide #flooding China’s Pingjiang hit by worst floods in 70 years. China’s Hunan Province after flooding in Miluo River went 7 m (23 feet) above alert level. It was the highest water level recorded since 1954. Rainstorms in east China's Anhui Province have left 811,000 residents affected and forced the evacuation of 195,000 people, local authorities said Sunday

🟣 Venezuela. #rain #hurricane #flood At least three people have died in the state of Sucre due to the overflow of the Mansanares River following Hurricane Beryl. The first two deaths were confirmed by the Civil Defense Service, and another death was confirmed by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. He also reported that four people are missing, and over 1,200 homes have been affected. Rains caused by Hurricane Beryl passing through the Caribbean Sea led to overflow the Mansanares River in Cumana, Montes municipality in Sucre state. Several roads were flooded, and multiple homes and vehicles were affected in various areas of the state.

🟣 Croatia. On July 3, the #hurricane hit southern and then eastern parts of Croatia. The town of Župane first experienced #hail the size of a walnut, followed by heavy rain, with temperatures dropping by more than five units to 15 degrees Celsius in an hour. The area along the Sava River was most affected, with agricultural crops and gardens belonging to Županja residents suffering the most damage.

🟣 Western Balkans Heavy midweek #rains — and even egg-sized #hailstones — lashed the Western Balkans overnight, leading to two deaths in Montenegro and damaged infrastructure across the region. Two people were killed after a powerful storm swept through Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro on Tuesday morning.
The extreme weather in Eastern Europe comes after a heavy storm in Switzerland and northern Italy caused extensive flooding and landslides, leaving at least four people dead, according to local authorities.

🟣 USA. #heat California burns as heat wave spreads across western U.S. The most concerning blaze Wednesday was the Thompson fire burning in Oroville, where several structures were destroyed and thousands evacuated as flames pushed closer to communities. Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency for the fire on Wednesday, noting that it was threatening “structures, homes, critical infrastructure, and health and congregate care facilities.”
