In recent news, Southern California Edison has agreed to purchase 400 megawatts of clean electricity from Fervo Energy. This project which involves drilling up to 125 wells in southwest Utah, will provide enough power for around 400,000 homes. This significant development will help reduce the reliance on fossil fuels and support global efforts to combat climate change by providing a sustainable energy source. The project, known as Cape Station, is expected to start delivering electricity to California by 2026.
