Are public-private partnerships the solution to climate change?

We keep hearing news of Delhi heating up, temperatures soaring to 49 degrees, humans and animals suffering. But nothing seems to be done about it! Elections are going on in India and throughout the country there is news of people standing in the scorching heat for hours in long queues, waiting for their turn to cast the ballot.
How much hotter does it need to get?
How much hotter does it need to get?

We are talking of inflation and unemployment, but we are also facing extreme droughts, floods, storms and what not! When will we wake up? The time is now really. It is not impossible. If Medellín can do it, why can’t we? The Colombian city realized it was getting warmer, and the leadership of the region decided to take adequate steps to cool down the city, and voila! In just three years, the city recorded a temperature drop by 2 degrees! Just talking about it and worrying about it will not achieve anything. If we want to mitigate climate change, we have to reduce our emission footprint, and plant more trees, to start with. And it is not a one-man, one-government job anymore. It is high time we come together as a country, as a planet and do what really needs to be done. Read more about how we can take steps to cool the planet.
If it is a multi-stakeholder collaboration or a public-private partnership that does the trick, then why not? The need for the planet's health is over and beyond the need for power and politics. The existence of a livable planet is important to practice power, isn’t it? Learn more about the role of public-private partnership to mitigate climate change:
