Australia nuclear facility installs massive rooftop solar power system .

ANSTO, an Australian nuclear research facility in Clayton, has installed a big solar power system on its rooftops. This will save them $2 million and cut down on their energy bill by 2 million kilowatt hours every year. The solar system, installed by RACV Solar, has 3,000 panels and is one of the largest in the state. It covers the main building, guesthouse, and storage facility. ANSTO's director says it was an obvious choice because of their big rooftops and lots of sunlight. They'll use the saved money to support their work and research.
