Firm enters a ten year power agreement to buy renewable energy

Yorkshire Water has entered a ten-year power purchase agreement with Shell Energy.This will aid the firm in buying renewable energy generated by the Thanet and Dogger Bank offshore wind farms. Thanet which is located off the coast of Kent, has an operational capacity of 300MW with 100 wind turbines, while Dogger Bank, off the north-east coast of England, is set to be one of the world’s largest wind farms, reaching an installed capacity of 3,6GW when fully operational.
