To reduce these drastic changes and devastating effects of climate change, it is important to understand how healthy the environment and ecosystems are and how they are developing. Bioacoustics is the science that listens to and studies animal sounds, especially those used for communication. To extract relevant information from animals' acoustics, sounds can be grouped, combined, and analyzed to understand the mechanisms involved in producing the sound.
