Renewable energy sector in China take lead past coal for the first time ever.

In the global race to decarbonize and meet growing energy demand, China is setting the pace for solar, wind and EVs. Renewable energy is now leading China’s newly added power capacity for the first time, even as new coal power plants continue to come online. https://www.climateandcapitalmedia.com/new-green-energy-surges-past-coal-in-china/#:~:text=During%20the%20first%20quarter%20of,Bureau%20of%20Statistics%20(NBS).

Great work however considering China is one of the largest polluter globally, more is expected from them. There is a lot that still needs to be done.

Chine should get more credit for what they do regarding scaling solutions. We will fix the climate crisis if China, the EU, and the USA can set their difference aside and co-operate more on climate.

There's hope for china to decrease its carbon intensity by over 65 % from the 2005 level, and to reach over 1 200 GW installed wind and solar power.
