10/10/2024 – While plastic water bottles are widely used for their convenience, new research suggests they can pose significant health risks when exposed to sunlight. A recent study conducted by the Guangdong Key Laboratory of Environmental Pollution and Health at Jinan University has raised concerns about the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from these bottles, which could be harmful to human health.
