Federal Government launches national strategy to promote circular economy in Brazil
Initiative aims to reduce environmental impacts and restructure production chains for sustainability
10/23/2024 – President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva formalized the creation of the National Circular Economy Strategy (ENEC), an initiative coordinated by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC). ENEC seeks to transform the traditional linear production model, which goes from extraction to disposal, into a circular economy system, focusing on the efficient use of natural resources and sustainable practices throughout the entire production chain.
The circular economy will be instrumental in ensuring a clean safe environment for all.
