World's top banks are greenwashing their role in destruction of the Amazon

According to a report produced by watchdog organization stand has revealed that five top banks are greenwashing their role in destruction of Amazon rainforest. These top financiers have given billions of dollars to oil and gas companies that are involved in projects that are impacting the Amazon destabilizing the climate, leaving Amazonia territory venerable with no risk management for climate change, biodiversity, forest cover, indigenous people and local communities rights.
