Hungarian company Platio makes solar panels that can be used as pavement. The product is built to support humans walking on them, but is strong enough to handle vehicles as well. The only plastic used in their solar-pavement blocks comes from plastic waste.
Products like this to harness solar energy should be implemented in our citys and urban areas where other renewable energy sources are not available!
I would love to see this implemented in suitable places in my hometown Stockholm, Sweden.
